The Center for Autism is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1955 by renowned child psychiatrist Dr. Bertram A. Ruttenberg, and is the oldest autism treatment center in the country. As a leading provider of services in the Philadelphia region today, the Center knows that each person with autism is unique and tailors its programs to the needs of each person and family.
Founded in 1965 by Dr. Bernard Rimland, Dr. Ruth Sullivan and many other parents of children with autism, the Autism Society is the leading source of trusted and reliable information about autism. Through its strong national network of affiliates, the Autism Society has spearheaded numerous pieces of state and local legislation, including the 2006 Combating Autism Act, the first federal autism-specific law. The Autism Society’s website is one of the most visited websites on autism in the world and its journal, Autism Advocate, has a broad national readership.
US Autism & Asperger Association (USAAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization for Autism and Asperger education, support, and solutions with a mission to Provide the Opportunity for everyone living with Autism, Asperger Syndrome and other related disorders to achieve their fullest potential, by enriching the Autism and Asperger community with education, training, accessible resources, and partnerships with local and national projects.
